How did it all start?
A team unites...
In September 2005, 27 climbers set out on a mission to reach the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro. 8 of them were blind. Before and after the 7-day expedition, several visits were made to several schools and facilities serving the blind children in the Arusha region. The exprience was rudely awakening, and thereout emerged the concept for a trust to help provide better support for blind children and adults of Africa. This trust is the Kilimanjaro Blind Trust.
